Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, 21, for a British record transfer fee of £115 million, BBC Sport reported on the 14th (Korean time).

According to BBC Sport, Liverpool 메이저사이트 reached an agreement with Caicedo on the 13th for £111m. However, Caseido preferred Chelsea.

The transfer fee is more than the £107m Chelsea spent for Argentinian midfielder Enzo Fernandes in January.

Excluded from the squad for the season opener at home to Luton Town, Caicedo is left with only a physical exam.

Brighton have set a fee for Caicedo this summer. Chelsea are said to have made an initial bid of £80 million.

At a press conference before the match against Luton Town, manager Roberto De Gerbi said of Caicedo: “It has already been forgotten. The big clubs can buy our players, but they can’t buy our souls.”

Caicedo joined Brighton from Ecuadorian Independiente del Valle for £4m in February 2021. He didn’t even make his Premier League debut until April 2022.

Caicedo requested a move to Brighton in the January transfer window.
