Tottenham vs Arsenal 2-2 draw. SON Captain, are you going back to the side now? The mood-changing muk-tui striker is expected to be at the front line
Will captain Son Heung-min return to the side?
Tottenham will host Arsenal in the sixth round of the 2023/24 English Premier League (EPL) at the Emirates Stadium in London, England, on April 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
Both Tottenham and Arsenal are currently in the top half of the standings and will need to rack up points early on to move up.
Notably, the matchup between Spurs and Arsenal is a North London derby with pride on the line. There can’t be any concessions.
Tottenham will be looking to break their winless streak away from home to Arsenal. They haven’t won there since November 2010.토토사이트
According to Football Today, the North London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal will end in a 2-2 draw.
They predict that Tottenham will start with Heung-Min Son, Heung-Min Son, James Maddison, Dejan Koulousevski, Pape Sarr, Yves Bissouma, Destiny Udoji, Micky van der Vaan, Christian Romero, Pedro Foro, and Guglielmo Vicario.
Arsenal predicted that Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trosar, Buckayo Sakho, Fabio Vieira, Martin Ødegaard, Declan Rice, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Ben White, and Aaron Ramsdale would make the starting lineup.
One notable change to Tottenham’s lineup is that Son Heung-min will play on the flanks and Heysel will play up front.
He moved to Tottenham from Everton ahead of last season. The transfer fee was around 90 billion, so expectations were high.
He didn’t live up to expectations. With only one goal in the league, he gained a reputation as a cheating striker.
Tottenham were forced to cry and eat mustard, but there were some promising performances in pre-season friendlies.
However, he hasn’t been able to turn things around since the start of the season, failing to find the back of the net in the league.
Meanwhile, Son Heung-min stepped up to the plate in the fourth-round match against Burnley and put in a sensational performance.
In the 16th minute of the first half, with Spurs down 1-0, Heung-min found space after a passing play with Manor Solomon, and after finding the keeper out of position, he chipped the ball home to equalize.
Then came Son’s show. In the 19th minute of the second half, after receiving a pass from Solomon, Heung-min surged forward and scored his team’s fourth goal and his second of the season with a direct shot.
Son wasn’t done scoring. In the 22nd minute of the second half, he found space behind the Burnley defense and found the back of the net again after receiving a pass from Foro. It was his first hat-trick of the season.
It was the fourth hat-trick of his career. After Southampton (2020/21 season), Aston Villa (2021/22 season), and Leicester City (2022/23 season), he now has a good memory against Burnley this season.
He got his chance again, and finally got the ball rolling in the fifth-round match against Sheffield United, taking some of the pressure off his mind.
“His goal felt better than mine,” said Son Heung-min, who also looked out for his teammate.
He added: “We need him. He’s been struggling a lot lately, and I’ve been thinking about what I can do to help him. I felt sorry for him whenever I saw him struggling,” he said, showing his captain’s class.
Did he think that opening up the scoring would turn things around? It is expected that he will be deployed in a frontline striker position in place of Son Heung-min.
Meanwhile, Tottenham captain Son Heung-min expressed his confidence ahead of the match against Arsenal.
“Arsenal won’t want to play Tottenham right now,” Son told The Times, a British publication.
“We know what the North London derby means to the team, the fans and the players. “It’s going to be a really tough game, but everyone at Tottenham is running and fighting for each other,” he said, adding that the team’s cohesion and unity is unparalleled.
Harry Kane, Son’s soul mate and soul partner, also came out in support of Spurs.
“Of course Spurs win,” Kane told CBS Sports, “they’ve had a good start to the season. They’ve had a good start to the season, so I think they’ll play well.”
“I texted Thierry Henry after the game,” he joked, adding that he would brag about the Spurs win to the Arsenal legend.
