The quarterfinals of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games have been completed.

The U-24 Asian Games team, led by Hwang Sun-hong, defeated China 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games at the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium in Hangzhou, China on Monday.

It was a clean, uncomplicated victory. South Korea dominated the game from the start, increasing their ball possession.

The first goal came relatively early. In the 18th minute, Hong Hyun-seok earned a free kick near the right side of the penalty box, and he took a direct shot that found the back of the net. In the 34th minute, Cho Young-wook’s cross was headed home by Song Min-gyu. South Korea remained focused until the end and ended the match with a clean sheet.무지개토토

South Korea’s quarterfinal opponent is Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan played Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals on the same day and won 2-1. To reach the final, Hwang Sun-Hong will have to overcome the Uzbeks’ strong physicality and mobility.

The quarterfinal match between South Korea and Uzbekistan will be played at the Kowloon Sports Center Stadium on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.

Japan faced a tough North Korea in the quarterfinals. With the score 1-1, Japan was awarded a penalty kick (PK) in the 35th minute and Yuta Matsumura converted to give Japan a 2-1 victory and a spot in the quarterfinals.

The final team in the competition was an upset. Hong Kong vs. Iran was an upset drama, with Hong Kong defeating Iran. Hong Kong held on for a 1-0 victory thanks to a precious early goal from Pun.

Japan and Hong Kong will face off at 7 p.m. on April 4 at the Shaoshan Sports Center Stadium.
