Oh Se-hoon “reviewed the welcoming party at Seoul Plaza” as the Seoul team won the LG Twins
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has congratulated the LG Twins on winning this year’s Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) championship and said he will actively consider organizing a street party in Seoul Plaza to celebrate the victory.
“As the mayor of Seoul, I am overjoyed that the LG Twins won the Korean Series for the first time in 29 years,” Oh said in a post on his Facebook account the night before, according to the city on Thursday.
“I applaud the hard work of both the players who sweated for the title and the fans who supported them to the end,” Oh said, noting that it was the first time in four years for a team with Seoul ties since the 2019 Doosan Bears won the title.굿모닝토토 주소
“The promise I made to KBO President Heo Koo-yeon last year to celebrate the championship of a Seoul-based team still stands,” he said, adding, “I will actively consider holding a street reception for the LG Twins in Seoul Plaza to celebrate their championship with the public.”
Regarding the issue of alternative stadiums due to the construction of the Jamsil Dome, which is a concern for baseball fans, Oh said, “We are holding working discussions with the Hanwha Consortium, the construction company, LG, Doosan, and the KBO, the governing body of Korean professional baseball, and will guide them to come up with the most reasonable solution, considering safety issues first.”
